Duskstorms insides wrenched, he backed down from what he was about to say and searched franticly for a way out, finding nothing he said the first thing that popped into his mind, always a bad thing for him to do. "You look beautiful"

Leopardstar was stunned at his comment and flushed slightly. "Uhm thanks Duskstorm." She faltered for a minute before getting up and slinking over to him. She circled around him before coming to a stop on his far side. "But thats not what you were going to say was it?" She didn't mean it in a mean way and it came across in a soft, caring whisper.

Duskstorms felt as though he had a seasons worth of mice scrabling around in his belly. His ear twitched spasticly and he blinked. "uh well, no, but.... yes that was all... except..." Duskstorm wanted to die. Why could he never talk sense around she-cats, especialy Leopardstar. He shook his head and licked his paw, just for something to do.

Leopardstar noticed his discomfort and sat down with a sigh. "Look if you dont want to tell me thats fine." She purred. "But you shouldn't have started to say something. I wont laugh."

Duskstorm sighed in relief and disapointment. He had half wanted Leopardstar to push for an answer, but he should of known she wouldn't. "I'm sorry, just, hopeless, I mean I am, not you, never you." Duskstorm sat fuming at his inability to string a perfectly normal sentance together.

As if she knew what he was thinking, Leopardstar felt that she deserved to know what he had sooooo desprately wanted to tell her 2 minutes ago. "Hang on" she started. "Can you tell me?" She didn't know why she so desprately wanted to know she just... did. As she was pondering this question she walked around and sat in front of hihm, gazing into his eyes.

IC:Duskstorm stared at her. She was so close and he didn't want to see her reaction to his words. Duskstorm turned his head away. "I'm sorry Leopardstar" He said, "it's just......" Duskstorm took a deep breath. "I realy like you, and I didn't know what you thought..... You can just say so and I won't mention this again, but you did ask....." Duskstorm closed his eyes. He knew what her answer would be, and he hated himself for saying that.

leopardstar blinked once, twice, three times before the words acually sunk in. "Are you serious?"she asked. She couldn't believe it even though it was probably true. Before continuing she mentally pinched herself to make sure she was awake. "Dusk, dont be embarrassed! I really like you too!!" She placed a paw on his and softly nuzzled his cheek. Her purring was rich and warm.

Duskstorms heart dropped when she said "are you serious" He opened his mouth to defend himself when he heard her last words. "what?" He stammered.

Leopardstars heart fluttered as she saw the realisation hit him. She was so happy. She believed that nothing on earth could feel this good. Yes. Not even the juicest rabbit.
