Leopardstar wandered out of her den one drizzly, muggy day to the fresh kill pile. After the horrible wheather the last couple of days even the drizzle was a relief. When she reached the fresh kill pile she picked up a large rabbit and settled down on the outskirts of the clearing to eat it in peace. She did not mind the wet and it balanced out the sticky heat. She soon devoured the rabbit and began walking to Blackroses den to see how she fared when a shill yap pierced the air. Spinning around in less then a second she raced to the camp entrance only to meet 4 foxes, two adult and 2 cubs, advance towards her. Leopardstar felt confused as foxes usually stayed out of the rain but they must have been hungry and decided to pick on Windclan cats. Great she mewed. The foxes had advanced almost into the camp now and she yowled a desprate warning to the Windclan Warriors. "Fox attack!" Hopefully they would hear her. They aren't completely deaf! she murmered drily before lurching herself at the biggest, meanest fox. Attachments:

Moonstep was sat with Blackrose chatting about the other cats when Leopardstar called. "Foxes?" She gasped, charging out of the den. Her eyes widened in horror, unable to believe that there were so many. She launched herself at the nearest fox, praying that more warriors would come soon. Leopardstar and her couldn't do this alone, they could not rely on apprentices, and Blackrose had a huge fear of foxes, plus she was only a medicine cat, so she wouldn't be much help. "Thistlepaw! Thistlepaw!" She yelled, clinging onto the back of the nearest fox. To any cat watching it would have seemed almost comical, Moonstep appeared to be riding the fox rather than attacking it!

Thistlepaw poked her head out of the apprentice den sleepily. "What?" she snapped, only to freeze. "Oh. My. StarClan." She began to run to help her mentor and leader, only to be stopped by a fox twice her size. She ran through a list of names in her head, trying to think which were actually WindClan. "Fivefoot! Nightfeather! Flarestorm, Owlpaw, Fallenleaf erm..... Everyone else! A little help please!" She shouted, trying to dodge around the vixen before her.
Blackrose threaded through the foxes, heading to the Warriors den. "Fox attack, come on, get up!" She called, before darting over to the apprentice den. Same message delivered, before she headed back to her den. Blackrose hated foxes, they had killed her sister, and she couldn't stand being anywhere near them. Gathering the few herbs and cobwebs she could find, she hid them in a crevice before running over to help her friends. "Easy Thistlepaw," she muttered as she passed the trembling apprentice, knowing all to well that she could do nothing to aid the she-cat. She wasn't a warrior, she couldn't fight to save her life, let alone anyone else's.

Flarestorm awoke with a start. 'Why can't a cat ever sleep around here' he thought to himself. His ginger pelt still held a little moss, and Flarestorm stretched himself, before pading out to see what the commotion was. For a second he thought he was dreaming when he saw Moonstep clinging comically to a fox. But then Flarestorm realised Leopardstar was fighting another fox farther away, and he ran forward to join the fight.

Leopardstar was glad that the other cats were joining in and helping like a clan should. Normally seeing Moonstep clinging to a fox would have burst her into fits of laughter but this was too serious. The whole clan was endangered! A sharp blow of a paw with claws unsheathed crashed into the side of her head making her see stars as she span across the clearing, puzzled. All of a sudden it came bounding towards her paw ready for the crushing blow. It was much bigger than her and even its paw did her alot of damage. Shaking, she got to her feet and dodged the blow. Looking deep into it's eyes she hissed "and who are you to destroy our home?"
She became angry at the thought that they could do exactly that. The whole clan is in trouble. She looked down at the pain in her leg she realised with a shock that it could be broken. Not allowing herself to focus on anything else(even the throbbing aching foot) but the fox in front of her she let out a bloodcurdling screech and lurnched herself at the fox again scraping her claws down its face. It let out a howl of pain but she didn't stop. Something inside her had clicked and she was now in 'fight mode'. Leaping over the yowling fox she landed behind it and sank her teeth into its back before jumping on its back and killing it. One more yowl escaped it's lips before it collapsed. Panting heavilly she turned and limped to help the others.Rabbitpelt came running to his leaders crys and the commotion from outside the warriors den and lurched himself at Moonsteps fox to help her. "Foxdung" he muttered, his dry humor slipping out.Attachments:

Flarestorm raked his claws down the fox's flank, and bit his teeth into its thick patchy skin. Then the fox rolled over and Flarestorm went along with it. He lay with the wind knocked out of him, after the heavy weight got up and looked into his eyes. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Leopardstar limping across the camp.

Dark lids snapped up. A green glow was emitted from wide eyes as the black warrior, known as Nightfeather, pushed away all remnants of sleep and leapt to his feet. Yowls of pain and battle cries echoed in the dark, wet clearing and coupled with the yips of something that wasn't cat provoked Nightfeather into action. He leapt out of the den, claws out, reaching for the nearest fox, a war cry tearing itself out of his throat as he proceeded to tear out the throat of his attacker. After that one outburst, the warrior was silent, proving to be efficient and fast in his fights, which all ended up with his opponent bleeding on the ground.
A flurry of teeth and claws landed on his next victim, a young fox trying to sneak up on Thistlepaw. Lightning sharp pain shot down his tail as a second fox dug it’s teeth in and yanked it. Still silent, the black warrior whirled and struck out, claws raking the creatures cheek. In has perephrial vision he saw Leopardstar limping across the clearing. Anger boiled in his veins at the foxes. Who were they to try and destroy his home, and injure his leader? They were gonna pay.

Blackrose darted over to Leopardstar and tried to nudge her leader away from the fight. "You are no use to them while you are like this, let me check your leg, or at the very least bind it!"

Leopardstar glanced around at the fighting cats. She didn't want to leave them but knew she was no use like this. Nodding she followed Blackrose. She hoped she would be back soon.

Moonstep finished off her fox with a quick slash to the throat before turning to search for others. Some were backing off, but most were still intent on battle. Nodding to Blackrose and Leopardstar as she raced by, Moonstep joined Nightfeather against the fox behind Thistlepaw. "Thistlepaw, try and get the cubs out. We can handle this one!"
Fallenleaf dropped her prey in disbelief as she re-entered camp. How had so many foxes gone unnoticed while she was out hunting? She examined them for the leaders, and had soon divided them into groups. There were several cubs, but they were no harm, if their mother left so would they. The mother was the one whom Moonstep and Nightfeather were attacking. The male was the one Leopardstar had taken out, but Moonstep had killed a fox that had joined the fray, not a cub but not an adult either. Oh StarClan help us, she hissed.

Owlpaw was dead asleep. Silent yowls and cries fought into his dreams from far away. It kept going on for some time, until it finally got to Owlpaw he needed to wake up.
His dream faded away and he slowly came back into the apprentices den. The noises from his dream were now loud and clear. "Fox attack!" he heard it being yelled several times. His eyes widened to match that of an owl's and he bolted up to the entrance.
He looked around in horror as he saw foxes, everywhere, invading the camp. Owlpaw didn't know what to do; he wanted to fight, but he was just an apprentice. "Thistlepaw, try and get the cubs out. We can handle this one!" he heard Moonstep say. Owlpaw raced over to help Thistlepaw. He was sure this was something he could do.

Mousepaw didn't know what to do! There were fighting cats all around her and she had next to no fighting skills! Hurriedly she looked around at the mayhem and just caught a glimpse of Leopardstar with Blackrose disappearing into the medicine cats den. With a last glance at the fighting scene she raced to catch up with Blackrose and her wounded leader.

Lying winded in the dust, Flarestorm tried to recover some of the breath that had been knocked out of him. 'What do foxes eat?!' he thought to himself. 'For starclan's sake they weigh a ton!' Finally recovering some breath Flarestorm pulled himself into a stitting position. Leapardstar was with Blackrose and the other warriors were locked in battle. Finally remembering what wa shappening he limped to help the warriors.

Leopardstar looked out the entrance at the fighting cats and saw Flarestorm limping. "Foxdung" she muttered. "One of our best warriors. Blackrose,im fine. Go check Flarestorm. He's worse off." she mewed, jot meaning it to be a order.

Blackrose ignored her leader. "For Starclan's sake hold still." She used cobwebs and wood to bind the leader's leg and sighed. "That's all I can do for now, go on." She turned and darted over to Flarestorm. "Flare, come with me and you can join them sooner."

Grunting in frustration, he obeyed Blackrose's order. Steadily limping after her, he twitched his tail and felt a sharp pain. Looking round he saw the toothmarks of the fox that had caused him so much pain. For some strange reason, Flarestorm felt hungry. 'Hope they don't trample the fresh-kill.' he thought. 'Wait..... why in Starclan's name am i thinking about food, at a time like this.'

Leopardstar noticed that Blackrose didn't follow her request until she had finished treating her. Flarestorms limp was getting worse and she was glad when Blackrose gave him her undivided attention. She was a good medicine cat. When she looked at Flarestorm it looked like he couldn't believe what he was thinking.
She was about to go out of the Medicine den when he foot gave a sharp spasm of pain. Yowling in frustration she turned back to the den and padded inside to see the two cats progress.

Blackrose heard a yowl and spun to see Leopardstar. "Oh Starclan," she groaned. "Flarestorm, hold these cobwebs on that leg and keep still." Darting back over to Leopardstar, she began rapidly removing the splint and changed the wood to a more supple stick. Binding it with leaves, she shot her a warning look to stay still and rushed back to Flarestorm.

Seing Flarestorm almost crushed gave only one good outcome. It gave Nightfeather one last boost to finish off the fox he was fighting. Jumping to the side, it's sharp claws missed his rump by millimetres. Just as he moved, the fox's other forepaw came up and dragged across his shoulder, giving him a lng deep gash. At first, there was no pain, but then, it suddenly felt like white-hot iron was being pulled across his shouler, leaving a red trail behind it. His curse came out as a gasp, but his steps didn't falter. He slipped in as his opponent was recovering from it's strike and struck out, his sharp claw scaping across it's windpipe. Dropping back, the fox coughed then snarled in pain and anger, before fleeing, racing out the camp entrance like the devil himself was chasing it. It wouldnt be back anytime soon.
Turning to find another opponent, he realised that there was only one fox left, and that one was being bombed by the other warriors. He looked around frantically, but calmed when he saw Moonstep near him. Pounding heart slowly returning to normal, he padded over to her and quickly looked her over for injuries. Seeing no major ones, he pushed his nose against hers and purred loudly, then moved to sit beside her. 'I hope you didn't want to go after that last one and finish him off' he said, face serious but a laugh in his voice.
