Sitting in the shadows of ShadowClan's main camp, a dark brown tabby she-cat's pale green eyes were deep in thought. She was thinking about what it was she was to do. Then it hit her. Hunting Patrol! And I'm leading it! Standing slowly, Hawktail wondered who she should take. Umm... Rainbowpaw and Thornsoul. That will give me two advantages; one to see how Rainbowpaw is coming along, and to see how Thornsoul works. Padding to the warriors den, the she-cat poked in her head and looked about to find the tom. Padding over to him, the ex-rouge got right next to his ear and meowed loudly, "Thornsoul! Hunting patrol, now!" Getting out of the way in case he decided to attack her, the she-cat was off to get her daughter.
Entering the apprentices' den, Hawktail found the black and white cat and shook her shoulder lightly. "Rainbowpaw, come on. Hunting patrol. I'll be waiting in the clearing." And with that, Hawktail turned and left the den.
Rainbowpaw opened her yellow eyes to her shoulder being shaken. Looking up, she watched as her mother exited the den. Hunting! At last, something to do! the black and white cat thought happily. Getting quietly to her paws, Rainbowpaw left the den and went to sit by her mother, her tail twitching with excitement.

Thornsoul jerked away and glared at the retreating she-cat. Hunting patrol? Ugh, I miss being alone. No duties, sleeping in.... Still, at least now I get to prove to Hawktail that I do actually know a few things. Approaching the others, he titled his head as he studied the other cat. Rainbowpaw, he recalled, before standing infront of them. "Morning?" He offered, greetings not at all how he worked.

OOC:: Sorry for the late reply!
Tilting her head, Hawktail grinned. "I don't know, is it?" she meowed at the tom's questioned greeting. Flicking her tail and replacing the angle of her neck, Hawktail got serious. "Ready to go?" Without really waiting for an answer, the she-cat stood up and began to walk away towards the camp entrance.
Seeing the older tom examine her, then give an odd greeting, Rainbowpaw dipped her head. "Good morning, Thornsoul. Did you sleep well?" Rainbowpaw thought it would only be respectful to help the tom feel a little more at home in ShadowClan. Nodding as Hawktail stood up, the black and white she-cat rose to her paws. After taking a few paw steps, the apprentice looked over her shoulder at Thornsoul. Waving her tail, she smiled kindly. "Coming?"

Hawktail making jokes? Okay, maybe she isn't the heartless she-cat I had her down for. Thornsoul smiled at Rainbowpaw and nodded, walking after them. "You haven't been an apprentice long, right?" He asked the youngest, preferring to make conversation with the one whom seemed least likely to eat him alive.

Rainbowpaw glanced over at Thornsoul. "No, not very long, actually. I'm a little nervous about this hunt; I haven't gotten much training." The little cat flicked her tail as they entered deeper into the marshy home of ShadowClan.
Hawktail glared over her shoulder at the two cats. "Shush, you two! Are you trying to scare off the prey?" she snapped. Twisting back around, she picked up her pace to a brisk trot. "The sooner we get to the Climbing Oak, the sooner we can hunt, and the sooner you two can show me what you can do." The moody she-cat was looking forward to seeing how the ex-rouge and her daughter were getting along hunting wise.

Thornsoul hid a grin as he mouthed sorry to Hawtail's retreating back. "You'll do fine," he whispered, before picking up the pace to keep up with Hawktail. Looking around the territory thoughtfully, he began memorising routes he thought would be useful.

"Thanks, I hope so," Rainbowpaw whispered. once they came into sight with the Climbing Oak, the black and white cat craned her neck to see the top. She had yet to train out here. Sitting, she waited for orders.
Hawktail rolled her eyes as she still could hear the soft whispers of the hunting party. Shaking her head, the group came into the shadows of the Climbing Oak and its huge self. Stopping and glancing up, the tabby she-cat wondered how the apprentices were taught to climb that. But then she saw that there were a few spots to get a paw hold. turning to the cats before her, Hawktail began giving orders. "Alright. Thornsoul, you take that section." The dark cat waved her tail over to the left. "Rainbowpaw, you take the other way. I'll go that way. Remember, I'm watching." And with that, the hunt began.
