Deciding not to wait too long for her Clan to emerge from their dens, Leafstar began the meeting. "ThunderClan," she announced, "A loner by the name of Jay walked into our camp today, asking for a home among us. She promised to dedicate herself to us. We cannot turn our tails to one with such a pure soul." Then after looking at her clanmates, she turned to the gray-blue tabby. "!, Leafstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this loner. She has dedicated her life to the benefit of out clan and proclaimed her loyalty. Jay, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?" Her green gaze was serious and intense as she waited for the loner to answer the the traditional two words.

Her voice was loud and steady, although excitement and joy shone through along with truth. "I do." Her mind was clear of thoughts besides of eagerness and her brilliantly striped tail even stood still as she bowed her head before looking back up at her leader. Her new leader. And the scents of her new clan surrounded her like a mother's caressing lick, calming and comforting her, as well as reassuring her. she thought about her future, her as an old bedraggled elder, telling stories to kits. Or maybe her in Starclan, beautiful and striking with stars in her fur. Maybe she'd be in the nursery one day with a litter of kits and a caring mate laying beside her, proud of what she had brought into the world. But more importantly, she saw herself fighting for her clan. Her dying for her clan, at the claws of some terrible danger. But fur would be clumped in her claws and teeth, she wouldn't go out without a fight. But her mind became clear again as the words echoed in her head.

Nodding gravely, Leafstar leaped down from the ledge to stand before the she-cat. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Jay, from now on you will be Jayflight. ThunderClan honors your determination and loyalty. Welcome to the Clan." The tabby leader touched the new warrior's brow with her nose before pausing for a moment before continuing. "Now, I would like to call Smokekit and Blizzardkit forward." She waited until the two gray kits walked forward. "Smokekit, you will now be Smokepaw. Blizzardkit, you will be Blizzardpaw. Sunspirit, you will mentor Smokepaw. And Blizzardpaw, Jayflight and I will mentor you, so that Jayflight knows how to train apprentices for the future." Leafstar touched noses with the apprentice before looking around at her Clan and at last saying, "This meeting is now over." She turned back to her apprentice and said, "Fix your nest in the Apprentice's Den and fetch Hawkswing fresh-kill for today. We'll begin training tomorrow." She sat before Jayflight and meowed, "I'll show you around if that's alright with you."
Smokekit raced over to his leader, excited at what was happening. He gracefully accepted his name and walked over to Sunspirit to touch noses with her. He was shaking all over so he sat down to wait for her to tell him what to do.

Sunspirit listened to the warrior's ceremony attentively. The new warrior, Jayflight, seemed pretty nice, so she already liked her. But what really surprised her was about Smokepaw. Leafstar had given her an apprentice! Her first apprentice! Joy ran through her as she realized that the leader obviously trusted her enough to give her a duty such as this one. She sprang up from her seat and padded over to Smokepaw with a bounce in her step. She bent over to touch noses with him and she began to purr loudly. Then she sat down next to the gray tom, her tail flicking happily behind her. When Leafstar ended the meeting, she looked down at her apprentice. The day was almost over, so she decided to not do anything today. "You can get comfortable in the Apprentice's Den today. Tomorrow morning I'll take you on a tour of the territory. Wander around to see if anyone needs anything after you finish with your nest." Sunspirit stood then, touching her tail lightly on the tom's shoulder in farewell. She would go hunting to refill the fresh-kill pile. She wanted to take her apprentice with her, to begin training him, but she knew training took time, and she herself didn't have much time before she had to be back in camp.

The striped she-cat gave Leafstar's shoulder a quick, grateful lick. An apprentice! She was perhaps the newest warrior to have ever had such an honor, and to train Blizzardpaw with Leafstar! She nearly fainted with joy! Looking back to Leafstar, shje nodded. "Yes, I'd love that." she mrowed happily, tail flicking wildly in her exitement.

Leafstar nodded, already wondering what to show her. "That is my den," she meowed first, pointing with her tail to her den. "Ask to come in first. Currently, there are no elders, and the Nursery is that way. You can visit Hawkswing and her kits when you have spare time. The Apprentice's Den is over there, which we will be visiting every once in a while because of Blizzardpaw. Wolfpelt, our Medicine Cat, has her den over there. If you need anything that involves your health, go see her. Her duty is to help. You might want to get her to check you over, just in case. We need you healthy. Now, let's go over to the Warrior's Den, so you can pick a spot." The tabby leader began to pad over to the den, where she entered and sat, waiting for Jayflight to come in and pick a spot.
Dragonpaw yawned after the meeting was over. He had been up and about all day. He wasn't hungry, and he had overheard his mother telling Blizzardpaw to make sure the kits and Hawkswing were fed. But then he remembered Wolfpelt and raced over to the fresh-kill pile, picking out a plump blackbird and veering towards the Medicine Cat's Den. He dropped the fresh-kill near the entrance and yowled out, "Wolfpelt, I brought you some fresh-kill. I'll leave it by the entrance." He ducked back out of the den and headed towards the Apprentice's Den. He ducked under the roots of the stump and headed straight for his nest, curling up into a dark ball. He closed his green eyes and sleep arrived easily.
Smokepaw was still shocked about becoming an apprentice as he listened to Sunspirit's instructions. He nodded in understanding and mewed a low "Okay," as he headed over to his new den. There were already two spots that were arranged with moss that belonged to Dragonpaw and Waterpaw, so he decided to make his den near Dragonpaw's. He went back out of the den and walked out of camp, very much conscious that he could walk out of camp by himself now without anybody telling him it was wrong. But still, he headed straight for a bunch of moss and with it in his jaws, he returned to camp. Dragonpaw was sleeping in his den now, so he quietly arranged his nest before going outside to see if anybody needed anything.

Dreamstep watched as Jay was made into a warrior and Blizzardkit and Smokekit were made apprentices. She then watched as Leafstar ended the Clan meeting and went to show Jayflight her den and the rest of camp.
