OOC: Anyone can join in this!
Skyfeather lingered in the WindClan camp, unsure what to do. The sky hung lazily overhead, nearly covered in dark clouds. Skyfeather was sure it was going to rain soon, but knew it would just be a light sprinkle. She purred happily, closing her eyes breifly and taking in the beautiful day, a light mist soaking into her fur. She sat and observed the happenings of the clan she knew as home.

Leopardstar, after extiting the nursey sat pondering. She didn't mind the rain as much as the other cats and was quite content to sit it her little space in front of the juniper berry bush and contemplate while waiting for the sudden burst of rain that would scatter the camp, making it wet and miserable ... to other cats at least. Leaf-bare was settling in and right now it wasn't the time to make rash decisions. She knew of a young cat called Everpaw that was keen on becoming the Medicine cat apprentice. But how can you have the apprenitce to learn, without the mentor to teach she thought, the doubt that this leafbare would not be a good one settled in all around her making her feel uncomfortable, trapped and un-nerved.
As if on cue, the heavens opened overhead and rain poured in torrents all over the camp and not to mention on the mentally drenched leader. Without a medicine cat she was also not able to recieve signs that only they could recieve. She also had no one that she could rely on. No mate, no Medicine cat. Sighing she trudged over to Skyfeather and managed a smile. "Enjoying the rain?" she enquired.

Skyfeather closed her eyes and lifted her face to the sky she was named after, instantly feeling the wonderful rain. It drenched her and dripped off her fur, but it was still a wonderful feeling to her. Her leader, Leopardstar, approached her. "I love rain. It's so beautiful," Skyfeather purred, adding, "What about you?"
Skyfeather twitched her tail as thunder rumbled ominously in the distance. She inhaley deeply, taking in the scent of rain and falling water. She heard the drip of water coming from a puddle outside the camp. She watched the rain rolling off the other objects in the camp. She sensed the rain completely and loved it.

"Well let's say that I tolerate it more then other windclan cats, although probably not as much as you" she purred, amused at her fellow windclanners love of rain. It wasn't long until she was almost blown off her feet by a unexpected gail of wind. She gritted her teeth and planted her feet firmly on the ground. Nodding to Skyfeather she meowed "this leafbares going to be harsh. I can feel it." It was clear on her face that something was bothering her although she went to great pains to hide it. She could only hope that Skyfeather would see, although it was probably written across her face.

Skyfeahter mrrowed with laughter at her leader's reaction. She had loved rain, ever since she was a kit and saw rain drip into a puddle, the first puddle she ever saw her reaction in. Plus, Skyfeather's last good memory of her father was one of him enjoying the light drizzle of rain, and she had clung to that memory with all her heart since then. The wind blasted her fur, sending a chill up her spine. She closed her eyes briefly, then, upon opening them, watched as lightning struck far in the distance, a tiny white streak against a dark gray sky. It was one of StarClan's greatest masterpieces, in her mind, and she purred lightly, her pur ending shortly after the lightning struck again, a little bit closer this time.
Leopardstar's mention of an ominous leafbare struck a look of seriousness on her face. "Yes, I fear so as well," Skyfeather agreed, looking once again at the dark sky that now seemed more like a warning from Silverpelt than a joyful gift from her memory. With a sigh, Skyfeather saw just a quick flash of a troubled look on Leopardstar's face. Should she question it? Maybe Leopardstar wanted her to ask what was wrong, so, going out a limb and taking the risk, Skyfeather asked gently, "If something's bothering you, I've been told I'm a good listener." Feeling unsure about her choice, she quickly added, "But if you don't want to tell me, that's perfectly understandable." And it was. This was her leader's business... or was it?

Leopardstar glanced at the fast approaching lightning and arruptly shook her head, sending a spray of tiny water droplets. She watched as they fell to the ground, never to be seen again, as it dissapeared into the already boggy ground. She noticed the concern coming from the she cat and before she could think of anything else her mouth opened and out it all tumbled. "Well..." she paused, unsure of how to start. "With leafbare setting in bringing its luggage of illness, its mind set on a destroying a clan, we really need a Medicine cat.... Something we dont have." I was clear that she hadn't slept last night and the weary tone in her voice let her down. She looked up wonderingif she had let this out to the wrong cat.

Skyfeather looked at Leopardstar, feeling the rain's stinging fury. She lowered her head and twitched her whiskers, sending droplets of rain scattering all over her white, rain-stained fur. Skyfeather nodded, wincing in the pain of her future. "I completely agree. We need a medicine cat. And fast." Sighing, Skyfeather looked at the gray sky again. "Or at least a cat who knows herbs and things. The only herbs I know what to do with are Deathberries and Chervil. Hopefully Everpaw can keep up with the clan for a while." Skyfeather heard her leader's weariness, and it suddenly drained all of her energy as well. Looking at Leopardstar with care in her voice, Skyfeather said, "Hey, maybe you should get some rest? It's a rainy day, so most cats will be in their dens all day. I'm sure Duskstorm can handle it until you get rest. A tired leader is a dysfunctional leader, as my father always said."

Leopardstar nodded as she listened to Skyfeather. "Well I 'spose..." she agreed. "At least we have Everpaw" she continued, "and ill ask other windclanners if they have at least a small knowledge of herbs. Even you, knowing a small amount can help until we find one." She managed a small smile and then taking into acount the last of Skyfeathers words, nodded again. "Yes, Duskstorm can keep the clan going. Your father must have been very wise" she stated before turning away and heading into her den. A refuge from the pouring rain. At the mouth of her den, she turned around and mouthed a 'thank you.'
Sorry its short!! ^^

Skyfeather nodded, hoping she could make a name for herself. When Leopardstar said her father must have been wise, Skyfeather's heart swelled with joy. "Yes," she said, her voice quavering, "he was the wisest tom I've ever known." Maybe she could find a mate as wise as him, she couldn't help but think. Watching Leopardstar crawl into cover, Skyfeather decided to take her example and move around until she was just halfway inside the warriors' den. Sighing, she looked up at the sky. Just as suddenly as it had started, the rain lightened dramatically to just an annoying sprinkle. Skyfeather laughed again and moved back into the open, stretching her legs in the tiny ray of sunlight peeking out between the clouds. Thunder still boomed and lightning still illuminated the sky, but it was much more barable now.
