Feeling the tom shift behind her, Hawktail wondered what was on his mind for a moment, then continued to focus on the path ahead. She could taste the scent of ShadowClan looming just ahead of them. I sure hope Duskstar doesn't kick me out for this, she thought to herself. She could easily imagine getting tossed like a piece of moss because of this. Well, I can't just turn around and tell him to leave. He would really think I was a ShadowClan cat then. The she-cat brought her ears forward and listened for any cat that would spot them. Nothing. The tabby put her ears back to the sides. Using her lean body, Hawktail slid gracefully into the camp. "Wait here, got it?" she mewed quietly to Deadheart. Without waiting for an answer, the she-cat turned and pelted silently across the clearing. Stopping at the mouth of the leader's den, Hawktail caught her breath before calling in, "Duskstar?"

A lump of dark tabby fur stirred, and his eyes opened wide. "What is it now, Hawktail?" Duskstar mewed, sitting up and shaking scraps of moss from his fur. He opened his mouth to taste the air and caught the scent of another cat. Unfamiliar from the rest of the clan. "And would this happen to be about that intruder?" His hackles rose and he padded out of his den almost colliding with Hawktail.

Hawktail backed out of the way before her leader ran her over. "Umm," she stammered. "He's not an intruder, Duskstar. He says he can no longer stay in ThunderClan. He wishes to be in ShadowClan now." Hawktail glanced at Deadheart. Should she tell her leader the tom's cruel name? Deciding not to, the she-cat slid ahead of her leader, hoping that he wouldn't claw her tail for doing so. She seated herself beside Deadheart. "He's like me, Duskstar; he can't go home."

He saw the tom rise and leave his den, he also sensed the displeasure in Duskstar's voice. but he didn't back down; he couldn't after all he'd been through. "I was not exiled, I left. I figured the loner would have come by now to explain why I was coming...." He showed no signs of fear, although the haunted look in his eyes didn't leave; the signs of a cat that clearly has been terrified half to death and wouldn't get over it anytime soon. "Duskstar, you may remember me as Nightpaw from gatherings. And you'll see that something happened to my mentor that...... makes it impossible to go back to Thunderclan." He had to give reason, didn't he? Surely Duskstar would ask 'Why can't you go back?' and Deadheart didn't lie very well, he didn't think he'd ever tell another in his lifetime. He was aware of the confused and angry glares he was getting, but he stood tall; his white dash on his fluffy chest standing out even more.

"Yes i do recognise you, but i do seem to doubt your willingness to leave Thunderclan, Leafstar as i have known her as always been nice polite to her clan no matter what may happen. And are you suggesting you want to join Shadowclan? That i would invite a former member of Thunderclan to join the power of this clan?!" Duskstar's tail twitched angrily. 'How dare a cat from another clan suggest to join mine.' He thought to himself. 'But then again this cat may have some knowledge that can be proved useful.' His thoughts began to go 1000 miles a second. A growl rumbled his throat. Duskstar kept an eye on him as he turned to look at Hawktail. "Go find Creakingwood. I want a word with him." He commanded.
(Fancy bring in Creakingwood Hawkie?)

The tom could almost feel his mentor's eyes burning into him, smell the scent of blood and death. He even thought taht, for a moment, he was right there, urging him to do something. To turn around? To run back? Or to fight? No. He pushed the feelings away and looked at Duskstar. "I know your clan hates Thunderclan. we all know it; every kit and elder. But think, Duskstar. What could be so horrible that forced me to leave? It was not Leafstar, but it was something. What is so horrible that one's warrior name is Deadheart?" He knew he shouldn't have said that, but it was overwhelming him, suffocating him.

"Ones name is usually a reflection of its true self. No cat deserves to be named as you do. Yet i will still discuss this with Creakingwood." Duskstar suddenly felt strange inside. 'Is the compassion im feeling?' He thought to himself. The many Shadowclan leaders before him had been scornful and cruel like the rumor of Shadowclan. Duskstar stared deep into the eyes of this, Deadheart, something inside him was not right. He turned around and went to find Creakingwood.
(Now would be good time for creakingwood hawkie ^^)

OOC:: Oh my gosh!! Sorry guys! I was gone this weekend!!
Hawktail perked up. Fetch Creakingwood? She nodded. "I'll get him now..." Her mew trailed as she raced to the Warriors' den to get the deputy. She slid in and found the tom sleeping comfortably. "Creakingwood," the she-cat hissed softly, "you're needed in the clearing." Without waiting for an answer, Hawktail turned and padded out of the den, rejoining the two other toms.
Creakingwood stirred with a growl as he felt the tabby warrior called Hawktail breath into his ear. "Alright, I'm up." He pushed himself to his paws and stretched. Giving his pelt a quick shake, the tom turned and walked out after the she-cat. He drew in scents; Duskstar, Hawktail, and ThunderClan. Creakingwood bristled. Stalking up to his leader, the deputy hissed at the stranger, "Why are you here? This is ShadowClan. Any explanation for me, Duskstar?" The golden eyes glowed dimly and the scar above his eye was barely visible among his solid black pelt

He met the gaze up the deputy cooly, although nothing could hide or cover the haunted way about him. His movements were quick and jerky, and his eyes shot about every chance he got, to look for a face he feared seeing. "There has been something taht has happened in Thunderclan, and it would be impossible for me to return. I was, at once time, Nightpaw, but now I am Deadheart, and I wish to join Shadowclan."

"Steady Creakingwood, i don't want you clawing his eyes out, yet......" Duskstar mewed. "But i want to discuss this with you." Turning to Hawktail, his eyes fixed to hers. "Go keep your 'friend' occupied while i discuss."

Hawktail wanted to slash out at the leader for giving such disrespect to their guest, but simply nodded. "Yes, sir," she mewed politely. She turned and swished her tail for Deadheart to follow her away from the two other cats. "Don't fret about Creakingwood," she whispered, "He isn't very friendly to anybody."
Creakingwood nodded as the two cats walked away. "What is there to discuss?" he sneered. "It's an intruder. Why would we bring him in? What if he's lying to us and he's a spy for ThunderClan? What then?" The black and white tom growled deep in his throat. he didn't trust this Deadheart cat. He seemed too... calm. Normally, any cat would quiver at the sight of a vicious ShadowClan cat. This cat was just watchful, something that a Clan didn't want to see from an outsider.

The cat bowed his head slightly as they left before looking to Hawktail. "I'm not fretting. How can a cat kill his mentor to save the clans, leave Thunderclan with such a name as mine, and fret about something as simple as a clan deputy? Of all things, if I told them, they'd be thanking me! Or at least should be." He added the last bit coldly, much more like he was around cats who wanted to pester him for secrets and tease infomation out of him about the true death of a great warrior.

"Calm yourself, Creakingwood." Duskstar mewed warningly. "I don't trust him either, but i want to believe his tale. But, his loyalty must be tested if we are to accept him." Keeping an eye on the other two cats, Duskstar leaned closer. "He seems just as Hawktail did if you can recall that far." Flicking his tail on Creakingwoods shoulder trying to calm the aggressive tom down. "What's your opinion on letting this 'Deadheart' into our clan?"

Creakingwood took in a deep, calming breath. "Well, if he really wants to be considered a ShadowClan cat to me, he'll have to prove himself worthy. He can stay the night, then it should start in the morning." The black and white cat glanced over his shoulder at the two cats. The two did seem alike. "Nah, Hawktail was covered in mud and she was way too jumpy. He's just... I don't know."
Hawktail leaned away. "Okay, okay! I didn't mean to offend you. I was only saying... You're going to have to be on the tips of your claws around him. If you mess up just once, he'll mark it down and bring it up when it's least needed." Hawktail could already feel the deputy's eyes on their backs, his golden gaze burning through their pelts. The she-cat didn't dare look over her shoulder in fear of Creakingwood's notice.
