A self-compiled list of all the medicinal herbs used in the Warriors books, plus a few more for extra interest!

Aniseed - digestive aid, increases milk production in nursing mothers, calms slight coughs. Seeds of the plant to be eaten as necessary.
Artichoke - obesity management - head of the plant to be eaten once per week.
Basil - nausea, gas pains, appetiser and many other stomach related issues. Leaf and herb to be eaten as necessary.
Betony - cuts, sores, ulcers and sprains. A poultice made from the flowering herb.
Black Alder Tree - for constipation, expels worms, removes warts and good for itching when applied externally. Bark of the tree or fruits/berries. Berries may cause vomiting in large numbers! Bark should be dried for 1-2 years before being used!
Blackberries/Cloudberries - bleeding gums, gout, diarrhoea, kidney problems and impotence. Leaves of the plant.
Borage Leaves - best for fevers.
Burdock Root - numbs and soothes rat bites.
Cardamom Seeds - vomiting, belching, incontinence, nausea, hoarseness, headaches.
Catmint - only cure for whitecough. Also for minor colds/flu/fevers. Anti spasmodic, slight sedative effect. Leaves and flowering head of plant.
’Cats Claw’ - immune system support, minor injuries, inflammation. Root bark.
Celandine - externally applied to treat skin diseases, ringworm, warts, has antiseptic properties. Internally used for any stomach upsets. Root and herb.
Chamomile - mouth ulcers, diarrhoea, gingivitis, insomnia, fevers, skin irritations. Externally used to spur wound healing and treat inflammation. Petals and leaves in the form of a poultice.
Chasteberry - PMS and female infertility. Purple flowering herb. Do not confuse with Scullcap!
Chervil - juice of the leaves used for infected wounds, root used for bellyache.
Chickweed - rheumatism, coughs, colds. Leaves and herb of plant.
Chives - appetiser and digestive aid. Fresh leaves of plant.
Cobwebs - used to stem bleeding from wounds.
Coltsfoot - respiratory problems, cystitis and anti-inflammatory. Dried flowers and leaves of plant.
Comfrey - aids healing of broken bones. Strap sticks to limb for support.
Daisy Leaves - soothes aching joints. Use with Goldenrod in poultice form.
Dandelion - water retention and pregnancy support. Leaves of the plant.
Dock Leaves - stomach pains. The root of the plant.
Feverfew - migraine and headaches, gas/bloating, worms. Leaves and herb of plant.
Goldenrod - stiff joints. Leaves and stem of plant, used with daisy leaves in poultice form.
Honey - sore throats.
Honeysuckle Flowers - broad spectrum antibiotic, very useful for fevers.
Horsetail - osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, water retention. Steams and grass of plant.
Juniper Berries - for bellyache.
Lavender - relieve stress, soothes and promotes natural sleep, clears depression. Do not eat - place dried flower near patient to scent!
Lettuce - weight loss.
Marigold - stops infection from starting. Petals and leaves of plant in the form of a poultice over the affected area.
Mouse Bile - removes ticks. Leaves a foul taste in the mouth - use with a stick!
Nettles - arthritis/rheumatism, detox remedy. All parts of the plant are edible.
Parsley - diuretic (gets rid of excess water). Also stops queens from producing milk. Leaves and herb of the plant.
Poppy Seeds - pain relief. Amount of seeds given depends on degree of pain, has slight sedative effect. Use sparingly in kits!
Primrose - mental depression, schizophrenia. Entire plant is edible.
Ragwort - general strengthening and aid. Leaves and stems. Do not use fresh - dried parts only!
Rasberry Leaves - to aid queens whilst kitting. Leaves of the plant only.
Rhubarb - extremely useful for constipation and diarrhoea. Roots. Leaves can be poisonous in large quantities!
Rosehips - chronic diarrhoea and bladder disorders/infections. Berries crushed into a pulp.
Rosemary - eye infections/wounds. Crushed petals of flowering head.
Sage Roots - soothes cracked pads. Use with poppy seeds and rest.
Scullcap - insomnia and anxiety. Purple flowering herb, petals mixed into a pulp. Not to be taken if pregnant/lactating!
Snapdragon Seeds - removes fleas.
Sweet Potatoes - emaciation. Entire plant is edible.
Tansy - for coughs. Petals crushed into a pulp.
Thyme - eases stress and calms.
Vervain - ease stress and tension, depression and melancholia, seizure and hysteria. Dried leaves and herb of plant.
Watermint - good for bellyache.
Wheat Grass - detox agent.
White Birch - ease muscle pain. Bark of tree, lain dry side up on affected area. Must be used fresh!
Wild Garlic - immune system support, disorders of the nervous system. Bulb of plant.
Wormwood - internally used for loss of appetite, externally used for poorly healing wounds and insect bites. Leaves and flowering head of plant, dried herb or poultice depending on internal/external use.
Yarrow Leaves - makes you vomit. Leaves of plant. Berries of the plant are extremely poisonous! DO NOT EAT!
Yellow Dock - anaemia, iron deficiency. Leaves of plant.
