[ok, it has been a month and i think last night was the full moon so next gathering!]
Leafstar slowly approached Fourtrees, her warriors following closely behind. By the smell of it, ThunderClan was the first ones here. She led her Clan into the clearing, but she did not jump onto the High Rock yet. She decided to wait a while.

The night was dead silent. Not a word was spoken as the two shadowed figures prowled through the trees, their slender forms casting long shadows in the moonlight. Though their paws grazed the thick grass they made no sound, if it were not for their breathing you would think them ghosts. The imprints of souls unwilling to move on to the next world. Taking a sharp turn the felines followed the ancient trail, the fresh scents of other cats filled them up, giving them a purpose. Kicking up the dust they broke into a run, lean muscles pulling tight under glossy pelts, adrenaline propelling them across the forest floor as though they could fly with the wind. The second, smaller of the two, began to struggle, falling behind in the chase. He made his way through the remaining trees until he caught his companion up beside a row of low-slung bushes that ran the length of the border and seperated them from the clearing beyond. He peered down the small slope on the other side, his bright yellow eyes adjusting to the brighter light of open space. His black tail swayed gently in excitement and the two cats swapped awed looks. It was their first gathering.
'Doesn't look like the other Clans are there yet..' murmured the black cat, squinting at the grassy undergrowth on the opposite side of Fourtrees. He was bent low to the ground, copying his brothers stealthy pose.
'No, but we're late as it is so we shouldn't hang around' mewed the second cat, as he began to shoulder his way through the bushes. He jogged to meet his Clanmates, purring a welcome and apologies for being late. Singleflame followed suit, picking out his mentor to speak to. Doublefaith walked up to Foxtail and sat down, tucking his tail over his paws waiting for the Gathering to begin..

The silver shadows caused by the full moons light flickered and danced with glee. The stars watched them with envy as the shadow's began to carress a small group of cats that walked swiftly and elegently towards the gathering.
A large tanish white she-cat seemed to glow, her body outlined with the moonlight giving her an almost ghost like appearnce. Her stunning blue eyes flashed eerily in the darkness. The muscles under her short spotted and striped pelt rippled as she guided the small group of cats to their destination.
As they neared, the large she-cat flicked her tail, signalling for them to stop. She peared over and saw some Thunderclan cats wondering around. But no other clan cats. They would be the second clan to come in.
The large silvery white she-cat would get questionable looks from the other clans because of their lack of leader at the moment, but she did not care. She would obey her leader to no ends if she had too. She remembered what her leader had told her to speak of and looked back at her clanmates.
Looking down one more time, she finally decided to show their pressence. With a flick of her ears she signaled them to go ahead. She allowed all of them to enter before her. She made sure that everyone was going down before, she herself, went down.
Carefully going down the steep slope, Bengalfur made it down without a slip up. She puffed her chest out, her eyes glowing with pride and dignaty. Her stride was powerful and gapping, telling everyone that she had no fears to hide.
With a flick of her tail she showed that she had seen the other clan, before heading over to the leader, she sat and bowed politely to the other leader before looking back at her clan.

Frostpaw was partially excited and partially nervous. This would be her first gathering. She looked up to the luminous moon, the tranquil breeze making her fur dance slowly. They were finally nearing Fourtrees and Frostpaw watched for her deputy's signal before running ahead to the great, ancient oaks. She looked around at the other cats from her clan that came with her and decided there was nothing to worry about. She stood up straighter with confidence and went back to watching for Bengalfur's signal. Finally the great she-cat flicked her ears and she knew that now she could rush down the steep hill.
Frostpaw ran down the slope and slipped a couple times, but she got up right away and continued down toward the trees. Once she was at the bottom of the hill she smelled the air. The scent of other cats was carried with the whispering wind..suddenly a rush of shyness ran through her veins, but it left as suddenly as it came. She sat down calmly and looked out for the other clans that hadn't arrived yet.

Moonstep stood on the verge of the trees, most of Windclan behind her. Leopardstar was ill, so she was taking over the role of messenger tonight, unless the she-cat felt better and could make it to fourtrees soon. This was unlikely, but a she-cat can live in hope, right? Moonstep was not looking forward to facing all of those leaders. None of them even knew she was deputy yet. Studying the faces behind her, she sought out the only apprentice coming. Ivypaw was still ill after the storm, and Dreampaw wasn't here, so Cougarpaw would have to represent the WindClan apprentices alone. ShadowClan and ThunderClan had arrived, leaving RiverClan to arrive last. Meaning they were second to last to arrive. Twitching her ears at her clanmates, she gave the command that set them off down to the other cats.
Padding over to Leafstar, she was suprised to find Bengalfur beside her. Bowing her head in acknowledgement, she murmured a small greeting. "Leopardstar has been taken ill." Were the only words she offered as an explanation. "RiverClan are late." She commented, wanting to draw attention away from her own clan.

A dark figure prowled quietly toward the gathering place of the Clans. Her muscles glided smoothly under her dark tabby fur. Pale eyes glowed ghostly against the light rays of the moon, glancing back and forth as though someone was following her. Hawktail stopped at the edge of the gathering place, it was her first time attending a gathering, being as she was from a different place. This was all so new to her; gatherings, looking out for one another, and all of the basic Clan ways. She looked up and awaited the signal to head into the clearing. As soon as the signal was given, Hawktail raced down into the clearing. She clung to the shadows, unwilling to interact with the cats of other Clans.
A lithe figure walked proudly to the gathering place. Her figure hid the way of how nervous she was of attending her first time as ThunderClan's deputy. Snowynight padded along side her leader, Leafstar, their paces slow. When they reached Fourtrees, Snowynight was surprised to see that ThunderClan was the first ones there. She dipped her head to her leader and walked to the bace of the rock and sat down, as this was where the deputies always sat. She looked around the clearing as she waited for the other Clans to arrive.

Bengalfur had just been named deputy as it seemed Moonstep was too. And how 'strange' it was that both her leader and Moonstep's leader were ill. She nodded, lettng Moonstep know she had heard her. "Risingstar is also ill." she stated flicking her tail. "I guess we will be two deputies with two leader's tonight... Unless Riverclan has had something happen before the gathering as well." she looked towards the area where Riverclan should be coming and sighed. "You're right, they are late." she looked up at the moon, a few clouds ghosting over it. "They should be arrivng soon though." she looked back at her clan, her small yet stronge clan. She had several things running through her head but she locked them up before anything could show through her eyes. "I wish for Leopardstar a speedy recovery." she said at last.

Moonstep responded automatically with "As do I for Risingstar." Turning away from Bengalfur, she gave Leafstar a small nod before making her way over to Blackrose. She knew she should stay with Leafstar and Bengalfur, or at least mingle with other clans, but they made her uncomfortable, something Moonstep did not need. Giving Cougarpaw a slight smile of encouragement as she passed, she settled beside her friend. "Risingstar is also away. Perhaps we should be wary of illness befalling more than just our leader," Moonstep purred.

Leafstar calmly watched as ShadowClan and WindClan arrived, her eyes wary but her body showing no sign of it, besides a slight stiffness. As Bengalfur and Moonstep approached her, she nodded a deep greeting to them as a leader would to another Clan's Deputy.
After hearing about the "ill" leaders, she offered her sympathies and wondered about how strange it was that both leaders were sick. But perhaps it was just natural. With one last look towards the RiverClan direction, she bounded over to the High Rock and leaped on it, giving Snowynight an encouraging nod. This was her first Gathering as Deputy. She settled down on the rock and waited for the speakers of their clans to join her on the silvery surface.

The moon was illuminating the claring below. Two glowing circles were looking down at the gathering cats. Two silver discs dissapeared and reappeared constantly. An outline of a figure could be seen stood up on a hill. It bore the shape of a lithe cat, the she-cat quickly slunk forward and peered through the gorse bush. The two jaws parted to take a scent. "All clans" the cat muttered. She had appeared from the riverclan side of the clans, she bore the scent of the river-loving clan. She slowly brushed past the twigs that formed a bush. The branches slowly scratching her sides. Willowfur had arrived at the gathering and was looking around for someone to talk to.

Ebonstar led her clan into the clearing. She sprinted up to the Highrock and sprang up, joining who she now recognised as Leafstar, Moonstep, Windclans deputy, and Bengalfur, Shadowclans deputy. 'Sorry i'm late, we had a little trouble on our borders.' She nodded to Leafstar, motioning for her to begin.
Nightfeather pushed through the crowd of cats until he had a good view or Highrock. he seated himself next to Fivefoot, keeping a respectful distance from the older warrior. He looked up at the leaders and noticed that only two leaders were present, Ebonstar and Leafstar. He knew that his own leader, Leopardstar, was ill and would not be attending, leaving Moonstep to speak for Windclan, but he also saw Bengalfur, Shadowclans deputy in place of Risingstar. I wonder if she's finally lost it he thought.
Dawnsghost wandered over to Hawkswing, his almost-mate and sat next to her, twining his tail with hers. He saw Leafstar sitting on Highrock with the Windclan and Shadowclan deputies and wondered when Ebonstar, with the rest of Riverclan, was going to arrive. Just as that thought passed through his mind, a black blur launched itself onto Highrock, revealing Ebonstar. He saw her talk to his leader and murmered to Hawkswing 'I wonder why Riverclan is so late'
With a "great" meow, Skypaw launched herself into the clearing. A few nearby heads turned towards her and she blushed under their stares. She noticed her friend Frostpaw in the swarm of cats near Highrock and padded up to her. 'I can't beleve were here! At a gathering!' She squeaked with excitement.

OOC: I don't think anyone knows Bengalfur is deputy of Shadowclan yet... Well now they would lolz
Bengalfur swished her tail as she watched Ebonstar rush in and explain why she was late. She nodded, but not speaking a word. She rose and padded over to the High rock and leapt with one quick push of her hind legs. She took her position beside the others. Her eyes looked over her clan with pride. She looked at the other two leader's and the other deputy. Her eyes flashed as she listened, her form quiet and silent, her form sat with a honerable manner. She flicked her tail around her feet as she listened to the others.
Her mind went through what her leader, Risingstar, had told to her say before letting her mind go blank again and the words of the others entered her now blank mind.

Frostpaw looked around at all the cats. It looked as though all the clans had arrived. She glanced up at Highrock to see if it was about to start. From the corner of her eye she noticed a familiar cat padding up to her. After Skypaw had finished talking, Frostpaw eagerly replied, "I know, I'm so excited!!" You could see it in her eyes, they were practically glazed with excitement. Plus she was looking forward to hearing news from the other clans.

OOC: This is Blackrose replying for Moonstep. I can't get what I write wrong or else she will kill me. The phone is screaming at me so yeah whatever.....
Moonstep leapt up to where Bengalfur and Leafstar were sitting. Seeing Ebonstar race towards them was a great relief. She closed her eyes as the heights at which she sat caught up with her. Taking several deep breaths, she allowed herself to relax a little and focused on Nightfeather and Fivefoot, sat a few tail-lengths away, before tuning back into the conversation. Leafstar looked ready to begin.

Padding slowly into the clearing a few tail-lengths after Moonstep, the silver Warrior chose his seat, not too near the Great Rock, but not so far away that he wouldn't be able to hear anything. He wasn't keen on Gatherings but being a senior Warrior he was inclined to attend more than the average amount. As he sat waiting for the other Clans to appear his gaze ran over the other cats in the clearing, some of them he knew, some of them he didn't. He nodded a solemn greeting to Snowynight of ThunderClan, having met her at a previous Gathering. He recognised Hawktail of ShadowClan but did not show any sign of welcome, as the she-cat already seemed pre-occupied.
'Good evening Nightfeather' he meowed as the younger tom silently sat down near to him, 'A strange occurance, both our and ShadowClan's leaders being absent' he pondered aloud, echoing most of the other cats' thoughts. He looked around behind him to where his ragged tail was placed and pawed it back into line next to his rump seeing the dust and dirt sticking to it's lifeless form. He sighed deeply, letting his thoughts evaporate into nothingness, his eyes directed at the Great Rock but out of focus and in a distant place to the here and now.

Down the eerie darkness of the hill bundled a small black shape. Darker than the grassy slope below him but mostly indistinguishable, save for the bright yellow headlights that were his eyes. The apprentice lost his footing several times, at one point skidding on his backside for several foxlengths before he could regain composure. He finally ended up in a tangle of legs and tail, on his side at the base of the hill, looking desperatly around him to see if anyone had noticed his fall. Thankfully many of them were still distracted by the loud entrance of another apprentice, ShadowClan by the scent of her, so he picked himself up and trotted on with as much dignity as he could muster. All too aware that his Clan was late, and that the others would probably want to just get on with the Gathering, he did not mingle with the other apprentices. Instead he followed Willowfur, his mentor, in her quest to find someone to talk to. He traipsed along behind her, his ears swivelling in near 360 degree turns, trying to catch everything that was going on around him.
He never dreamed that Gatherings could be so nerve-wracking.

Nodding a greeting to Ebonstar and seeing that everyone was just waiting for them to begin, Leafstar stood and approached the edge of the High Rock and looked down at the swarm of cats. There was a lot more than there was in the first gathering.
"Cats of all Clans, welcome to this Gathering," she announced proudly, and after a short pause continued with the news of her Clan. "ThunderClan is prospering. We have a new Deputy, Snowynight," she meowed with a flick of her tail to the white and gray she-cat. "And we have had two new litters of kits and another of our Queens is expecting another litter. Prey is bountiful and our territory is generous, thank StarClan."
After her speech, she returned to her spot and motioned for Ebonstar to take her spot at the edge of High Rock and speak. She was glad that ThunderClan only had good news to share. She gave a low contented purr and listened to the next leader carefully, just in case.

Ebonstar moved forward, nodding to Leafstar as she passed. She looked down on the assembled cats and meowed loudly, 'Riverclan is prospering as we now have a deputy, Wolfblaze. She waited for the cheers to quieten then continued. 'We also have a new litter of kits and,' she paused for effect, 'A new warrior. Please welcome Mistydream as a full Riverclan warrior!' Again, she waited for the cheering to die down. Prey is running well and we have no ill effects from the recent leaf-bare.' She stepped down from the point of the Highrock and motioned for Moonstep to move forward.
Nightfeather exchanged greetings with Fivefoot and agreed with him about the two leaders absence. ' I wonder . . . he began, but then realized the silver warrior had drifted into his own little world. He sighed and looked back at Highrock, tuning in just in time to hear Ebonstars announcement about the new warrior. 'Mistydream, Mistydream' he called, starting off the ritual chant. He saw Moonstep look down at him and he smiled reassuringly.
'I wonder why Leopardstar's not here.' Skypaw commented as Moonstep jumped gracefully up Highrock. 'But I don't care, I still can't believe we're here! Look at Leafstar! Did you think she looked as pretty as that? And look at Fivefoot! I've heard about his temper!' She realized she was babbling and promptly shut up, her eyes conveying her excitement.

Frostpaw couldn't help but be amused by Skypaw's excitement. "Yes I wonder why Leopardstar's not here too..." she drifted off into thought. Suddenly she came back to the present, "Leafstar is really pretty, I especially love her eyes," she added in a tone of agreement. She glanced around at every cat once more before looking back up at the leaders and deputies on Highrock.

The two tomcats had chosen seats appart from each other, grouped with different cats for their set paths. Singleflame sat with his mentor, Wolfpelt, and the other Medicine cats. Doublefaith sat with the rest of the ThunderClan Warriors. Both of them whooped and cheered as Leafstar announced their good news and Singleflame thought once again that he needed to go and visit the new mothers and kits. It would be an excellent learning opportunity for the apprentice. He looked over at his brother to check that he was enjoying his first Gathering but kept his ears tuned as Ebonstar began to speak, making sure to remember everything incase of need. He had an excellent memory. Doublefaith on the other hand..
The multi-coloured Warrior was like a leaky sieve. His brothers often teased him, saying that he would probably leave his tail behind if it weren't for the fact it was attached to him. As hard as he tried to listen to the other Clans' news, it just didn't sink in. He could remember the important things, survival techniques, the Warrior code and all that, it was just the trivial matters that seemed to elude him. He caught his brother's eye and grinned widely. Two previously rogue tomcats sat at a Gathering as though they were Clanborn through and through, fancy!

OOC: Still replying for Moony
Steeping forward, Moonstep was relieved to see Nightfeather smiling. She had a feeling this was going to make her very dizzy, Moonstep didn't exactly like heights. "WindClan are doing well also. Leopardstar has been taken ill, but the expert care of our medicine cat has prevented the illness from spreading. Windclan are as strong as ever," she added, not wanting any cat to doubt their strength. "We have three new apprentices, Cougarpaw, Ivypaw and Dreampaw." She waited for the cheers to die down, before continuing. "Some of you may know that Windclan were hit by a terrible storm, but Ivypaw has recovered and soon she will be ready to keep training. Due to the fast reflexes of our warriors and medicine cat, there was little damage to the main camp." Determined to finish on a positive note, Moonstep chose to end with; "We have a new kit also, and our clan has plenty of prey." Stepping away in relief, she blinked at Bengalfur to end with the news of Shadowclan.

A smile dawned on the silver cats face as he watched his new deputy take to the stage like a fish to water. It was nice to see her so confident. If she was hiding the nerves, she did so well. He was also pleased to hear WindClans mostly positive news displayed for all to know. It was common knowledge that most cats thought of WindClan as the weakest. He wanted to claw the ears of every cat who thought that way. To prove them wrong. They would one day, he was sure.
He cast his weary amber gaze around the clearing, the view was much the same as before, save for the appearance of several more apprentices. He noticed a couple of ShadowClanners who continued to whisper whilst his deputy was speaking and narrowed his eyes in disapproval. If he'd have been able to use his tail it would have been flicking irritably. Turning away from this sight he noticed that Nightfeather was looking up at Moonstep strangely. He recognised the look from many years before and a smirk disrupted his solemn features. He didn't comment even though he was dying to say something. The tom had a strange sense of humour, mostly dark sarcasm, but this was one opportunity he would have to miss - for the sake of the Gathering and Nightfeathers pride infront of the other Clans. Making a mental note for a later date he let his attention wane again as the ShadowClan deputy Bengalfur stepped up.
(OoC: Sorry, not that much to say..)

Hawkswing twiled her tail around Dawnsghost's as they sat together and waited for the Shadowclan Deputy to speak. With the end of Windclans news, Ebonstar smiled kindly at Moonstep and whispered in the deputy's ear 'You did well.' She smiled again and brought her attention to the Shadowclan deputy, who was the last to speak.
Nightfeather caught a glimpse of a smirk on Fivefoots face and knew that he was in for a teasing from the older warrior when they got back to camp. He looked up again at the Highrock as the whole gathering waited in silence for Bengalfur to step forward.
The cold breeze ruffled Dawnsghost's fur as he looked with affection at Hawkswing, and licked her ear to comfort her. 'Two clan leaders absent. . .' he mussed quietly as Moonstep stepped back, leaving Bengalfur to finish the gathering.
Skypaw shivered as the trees moved in the wind, cold and biting. She gazed in awe at the cats on Highrock, making small, excited comments about each speaker. 'Ebonstar looks so regal. . . The Thunderclan leader seems happy. . . Moonstep keeps looking down, I wonder what at?. . .' but was stopped short as, from her position, she was unable to see Bengalfur unless he moved forward, which he hadn't. 'Have you seen Bengalfur before? Do you know what she looks like?' she hissed at her companion.
