A chilly breeze blew through the tabby she-cat's fur. Like every night now in Leaffall, it was cold. But she knew Leafbare during the day could be much worse. As she made her way through her territory, Leafstar kept watch for her patrol. They were on their way to Four Trees for the gathering. The sky was clear, and the moon and stars twinkled in the dark sky. Although there was a truce, the ThunderClan leader still watched the shadows for possible attacks. But they made it to Four Trees safely.
Once there, the tabby scented the air but noticed that they were the first to arrive. Motioning for her Clan to follow her, she led them into the clearing. She waited besides her clanmates for the other clans to arrive before going over to the High Rock.

Wolfpelt trailed swiftly after her leader as they made their way to the gathering. The wind buffeted her fur and she shivered softly. The great trees at Four Trees would shelter them from the wind. The shaggy gray she-cat was relieved when they all entered the clearing and the wind wasn't as strong. Making her way over to the place where medicine cat sat, Wolfpelt laid down and looked up at the sparkling stars as she waited for the others.

A golden furred she-cat followed closely behind the ThunderClan leader, eager for what was to come. The night was cold, but her thick fur kept her warm for the most part. Looking down at her paws, she could see them glowing silver when the moonlight hit them, and she imagined all of her pelt doing the same. Sunspirit wasn't one who loved the night. It had always been her younger brother, Coyotekit. Or Coyote now. She loved the sun and the warmth and light it provided. The only reason she was truly comfortable was because she was under the canopy of the ThunderClan trees.
Once they arrived at the empty Four Trees clearing however, the golden Maine coon felt a bit more uneasy. There were no other cats there, but the fact that they were in neutral ground bothered her. She reminded herself of the truce as she picked a moonlit spot and sat down. A bit more relaxed, she thought about how she might see her brother if he came to the gathering.

Trotting through the dense undergrowth, green with life, the silhouettes of a small number of cats passing lit up by the light from a monster. Whilst a dark-tabby tom, with cautious glances here and there, led his clan towards the destination of all cats tonight, Four-Trees. Flicking his tail Duskstar and Shadowclan trotted together, their destination in sight. He stopped at a ravine, catching the scent of Thunderclan wafting towards him. 'So,' he thought. 'Leafstar early as ever.' Keeping his cats in check Duskstar stood tall against the the dark night, only noticeable by the moonlight that shone on his fur. Standing forward, as if trying to be intimidating, Duskstar felt his clan wait with baited breath, they all had friends in other clans. Yet again they would meet, the moon not far off the moonhigh, signaled something. The Gathering would soon start. OOC:(My longest post ever )

Creakingwood was close behind Duskstar as the ShadowClan patrol made their way to the gathering. The night's cold air was a showing sign that the harsh times of leafbare were on their way. The black tom cat glanced around, seeking another patrol. Nothing at all could be seen. Reaching the gathering, ThunderClan were the only cats there. Well, we can't always be first to get here. Creakingwood glanced at his leader, his sighs coming in billowing clouds of air. He tuned his golden eyes up to the sky, then back to his leader. "Ready?"
Hawktail loomed at the back of the ShadowClan group, her paws treading lightly across the cool ground. The direction of the gathering was very quiet, so there couldn't be many cats there. Maybe one or two of the Clans. The look on her Rainbowpaw's face was so down that she hadn't been invited to the gathering and Dawnpaw had. Hawktail had tried her best to cheer the apprentice up, but the only thing that would work would be if she came to the gathering with them, and that wasn't happening this moon. Hawktail smiled at her daughter. Reaching the edge of the gathering, the tabby she-cat waited for the signal to go.

Dreamstep followed her leader through the forest, feeling very eager. When they got to Four Trees, she noticed that they were the first ones there. She followed Sunspirit in and sat down next to her. "Do you mind if I sit next to you," she asked the she-cat.
Beechflight walked behind her leader, towards the front of the ShadowClan group. They came to the edge of the Gathering clearing and sat waiting to go in. The tabby scented the air and smelled ThunderClan. Early as usual, she thought. She waited for her leader to give the signal to enter.
OOC: sorry it's short. I have to go.

(This is Blackrose posting on Dusks' account since it won't let him logout so I can log on as my computer is kind of.... I don't think a word exists to describe it yet. Maybe cablebrokednessified?)
Dawnpaw smiled back at her mother, wishing her sister had been invited to join them. Waiting behind Duskstar she was caught between loyalty for her leader and her sister. Settling on pulling a face at the tom before allowing her expression to melt back into mild cautiousness, she was impatient to be allowed to mingle with the other clans, Dawnpaw began tracing patterns with her tail, alternating betweem smiling demurely at her mother and shooting death glares at the tom leading them.

Riverclan was arriving, being lead down the slopes by Ebonstar. The night was cool, but compared to what was coming, the black she-cat was revelling in it. Trotting into the clearing, she padded over to High Rock and jumped up, seating herself gracefully. She flicked her eyes around, first spotting Leafstar, then Leopardstar. She sniffed the air, looking for the final of the four clans. Scenting a faint trace of Shadowclan, she glanced up into the trees surrounding the meeting area and saw a group of cat-shaped shadows lurking. Huh, it's just like Duskstar to do that she thought.

The clearing was silent for the most part. Leafstar sat silently, her eyes closed. She could feel the wind howling through her ears it seemed, although it was but a cool breeze. The ground beneath her paws was suddenly very detailed, as if she could feel individual grains of dirt. Time seemed to pass slowly as the tabby leader waited for the other leaders and their clans to arrive. The full moon was close to the the highest point in the sky, and StarClan was waiting. She opened her jaws and tasted the air. A faint smell of ShadowClan. They were near, she could tell. Moments later, WindClan arrived on their swift feet. And eventually, RivenClan as well.
Leafstar at last stood and looked at the shadows surrounding Four Trees, where she knew Duskstar and his clan were delaying. She was just glad it wasn't Risingstar, because knowing how unpredictable the tabby she-cat had been, she would have cared less if there was a holy truce on the night she ordered her clan to attack. The gray-blue she-cat padded over to High Rock at last, leaping gracefully onto its silver surface. She approached the other two leader and bowed her head respectfully. "Greetings Leopardstar, Ebonstar. How are your clans faring?"
A large dark tabby apprentice made his way through the woods. Dragonpaw was going on his first gathering, and he was excited. His fur stood on end, and his eyes darted from place to place, expecting another clan to pop out of no where. He knew that if for some reason someone would attack, he'd be able to defend just as good as any warrior. His fighting skills were excellent. However, his hunting skills still needed a little help. Once they arrived, the tom warily walked into the clearing, glad that they were the first to arrive. No other apprentice represented ThunderClan today but him. He hoped to gain friends in the other clans. Meanwhile however, he waited with his clan for the other clans to appear. Once he saw more apprentices, he would introduce himself.

Nightstalker slipped warily into the clearing after Ebonstar. She hadn't been in the clan long so was suprised and a little disturbed when her leader had said she was going. Nightstalker couldn't help but wonder about her leaders motives behind it. Nightstalker froze as her path led her past a patch of clovers. Her legs locked and she stood trembling on the verge of attacking them. Surley it wouldn't be a good idea to attack them with all the cats around. Nightstalker lost the battle with herself and sprang fowards with a triumphant yowl to fall apon the helpless clovers.

Ok this is the average post i expect from a leader or high rank and 2 paragraphs from a member but i can settle with 1 paragraph from a member:
<Ok this is a bad example...writer block kicks in one of my worst posts ever xD>
thumping noise appeared from the middle of the camp. Any cat would poke their head out and be suspicous, what could it possibly be? But if any cat did look over in alarm, they quickly withdrew. Probably with rolling eyes, i mean come on, who else would make a thumping noise in the middle of a clan meeting? I'll let you guess, guess yet? You guess right (i hope, if not then you are dumb) it was caused by a little black furry apprentice. A long, vne-like tail, was banging against the dusty floor with impacience. It's a wonder that Ivypaw had sat down, let along for a whole 5 seconds! But now agitation was getting the better of her, as this certain kitty could not keep still for long. She decided to find something to do, swinging her tiny head around to see what there was. But with the enthusiastic and lively head swings, her body slightly followed. So it looked like she was swaying. At this point, the back of her head was facing Foxstorm several times, showing him that there was no sign of injury on the back of her head where it struck the tiny grey rock.
As her mind whirled at the countless possibilities to do (aka nothing!) she picked out a single idea. She swiviled her body around to face her destination, but as she started to walk over, a ginger warrior approached her. Well, more like scrambled to her. 'I am sure you will get it next time' Sandtail mewed encourageingly, and as Ivypaw opened her mouth to answer, the warrior continued 'Good hunting crouch!' Ivypaw's tail shot straight up "Thankyou!" she exclaimed happily. To be praised was well enough for her, but to be praised by a warrior made her even happier! Expecially by her old denmate. But i'll be a warrior soon she reminded herself i'm only a moon younger than Sandtail... The fluffy kit-like apprentice didn't feel envious toward her former den mate, but instead she felt proud to know her well. Then the warrior padded off toward her mate, Foxstorm, who was also Ivypaw's previous denmate.
Now back to some entertainment! Ivypaw thought excitedly. She re-swiviled her body round to face the clump of greenery, yet again. She happily trotted over, angleing her ears toward it whilst doing so. Listening for the slightest sound from it, sure enough there was the slightest rustle. You would never tell by looking at it, but then the faintest chirp followed. "A grasshopper" she whispered excitedly. She got back into the previous hunters crouch, this time lowering her tail. She has witnessed this afew times before. She crept up on it, listening for it again until her searching eyes pinpointed it's location. She waggled her haunches afew times, then used her powerful hind legs, yet again, to launch herself off the ground to land in the foliage and grasp the tiny green body between her claws. The sheer impact killed it in a heartbeat. "Got it!" Ivypaw yowled as loud as she could, proud of herself. She carefully picked the tiny body up with her shiney fangs and turned to face Sandtail. She proudly lifted her chin, puffed out her chest and listed her tail high in the air. Then she trotted toward her old denmate and placed the hopper at her feet "you were right!" she exclaimed happily "here you can have it!" she offered, pushing the carcus forward with a single black paw.

[That's a lot....]
Sunspirit watched curiously as WindClan and RiverClan arrived. She could smell ShadowClan, but they were not in the actual clearing yet. When she heard someone ask to sit with her, she turned her golden head to find Dreamstep, her clanmate standing before her. She smiled before meowing in return politely, "Of course! Get comfortable too." She swished her tail over the spot next to her for emphasis.
Sunspirit was a very lively and social cat. She got along well with everyone and she was friends with everyone. But for some reason, she had never gotten really close to anyone specifically. So she didn't know what it meant to have a best friend.Maybe it was because when she returned to ThunderClan from twoleg place, everyone was wary of her. But she had been born a ThunderClan cat and was loyal to the core. Maybe this was her chance to get closer to having a best friend. "So...." she began, "how's life been treating you recently?" It was a simple start, but a start nevertheless.
A black and white Maine coon made his way after his leader, Ebonstar, to the gathering. Mistydream was not attending, so at the moment he walked alone. But he entertained himself by paying attention to the night. The dew droplets on the plants. The full moon shining. Even his fellow clanmate's figures against the dark night. Once RiverClan arrived at the clearing of Four Trees, Pumahunt scented the air to see who was here. They were third to arrive. He entered the clearing and looked around, looking for anyone he knew personally. Then he spotted his sister, Sunspirit, sitting with another ThunderClan she-cat. Deciding not to interrupt, he nodded to her in greeting before padding over to the High Rock. Sitting down with his tail over his paws, he looked around, expecting the ShadowClan cats toappearany moment.

Nightstalker finished with the clovers. She opened her mouth wide and breathed in the scent of their crushed and lifeless body's, the tangy taste of their green blood as it bled slowly into the damp earth. Nightstalker came out of her clover killing world and felt instantly anxious about all the cats around her. Her fur bristled and she froze, wearily waiting for an attack. It had been explained to her that the gathering was a time for peaceful meeting between clans but war fights had broken out before. Catching a glimpse of a familiar black and white coat Nightstalker released a sigh of relief and streaked over to Pumahunt. Hey she said franticly. am I aloud to sit here? or is there some spacing arrangement or something. In a brief moment of sanity Nightstalker decided to tell him what was wrong, she was about to tell him exactly what was wrong but her insanity kicked in and her sane side made do with There were clovers back there. Her insane side managed to add I ripped them apart and left them bleeding on the... before her sane side wrestled the words away, making her choke and gasp for breath.

Seeing as Nightstalker approached, the black and white Maine coon listened to everything she said. The fact that she said something about her clover attacking surprised him because she usually avoided the subject. He placed his tail on her shoulder to calm him down before replying. "Glad you could catch up." He didn't want to say anything more on the subject of the clover-rage because he thought it would make her uncomfortable. But Pumahunt was glad she was opening up to a fellow clanmate. Then he addressed the question about the seating. "Well, the leaders all sit on the High Rock to give the announcements and the Deputies sit at its base. But everyone else can sit where ever they want. So your free to sit here." He could imagine how strange it was to be at her first gathering. His first was as an apprentice with ThunderClan. The second time as a RiverClan warrior. So he completely understood her uneasiness.

(awww god.... Sorry Shadowclanners, site went down on my comp just had to fix it, soz again ) With a flick of his tail, Duskstar, led his cats down into the clearing full of the mixed cat scents blending in with each other. The dark-tabby tasted the air and went to search for the rest of Leaders. Before leaving he growled to his cats, "Mingle." Not a statement, an order. Duskstar pushed through the crowd to find the leaders, shoving everyone in his path astray. The thought ran through his mind, 'Here's Duskstar'...... Infernoheart stumbled as he was pushed aside with a few other cats, the large white tom let out a mrroww of amusement. He began to lick his paw to let the fur lie flat. Infernoheart had been eagerly awaiting the gathering; He loved to meet his friends in different clans and chat without feeling guilty for sneaking moments away. With a twitch of his ginger tail, Infernoheart wandered into the crowd of cats.

Nightstalker drew in a deep calming breath. Thanks she said. there are so many cats! How do you stop from fighting all the time? Nightstalker let her fur settle slightly. I'm surprised blacksharpgreyeyeslongclaw, I mean Ebonstar let me come to this gathering. she mewed thoughtfully. I've barley been in River Clan for a moon Nightstalker blinked, gazing anxiously up at the high rock where her leader stood. Is she meaning anything by it? She asked Blackwhiteambereye I mean, what is she trying to achieve by bringing me? Nightstalker wrestled once again with the insanity of her paranoia. blacksharpgreyeyeslongclaw was her leader and she should trust her. Nightstalker sighed in annoyance with her mixed thoughts and gave Blackwhiteambereye a stressed smile. I guess I'm acting like an apprentice aren't I Pumahunt. It was one of the first times Nightstalker had addressed Blackwhiteambereye by his given name. Nightstalker tensed with the arrival of another large group of cats. Oh Starclan she whispered, Theres more of them! I guess they're Shadow Claners.
OOC: sorry if the last part doesn't tie in with the rest, Duskstar bet me to posting so I had to modify it.

BLackhole stauntered into the clearing behind Duskstar and glanced at the surrounding cats. As his gaze raked over the other clans his eyes settled on a flustered looking she-cat over by one of the RIverclan warriors. Gliding on soft paws he reached them and sat down beside the two cats while she raved off about something. He realised that she was.... ok maybe more then insane and that he wasn't going to get a brerak in the conversation. He purred loudly to get their attention. "Oh i hope i wasn't interrupting anything" he meowed although he didn't really care. "I noticed you looked abit distressed. First gathering?" While waitng for a reply he glanced her over. His years as a rouge made him capeable of appearnce and hidden strengths. Hmm definatlly been a rouge he mused.
Leopardstar gazed over the surrounding cats untill her gaze settled onto the leaders, almost regal on their perch. NOt in any way wanting to be left out she bunched her mucsles and lept to her perch above Ebonstar, flicking her tail in a greeting as she climbed by.

Usually when an unexpected cat came by Nightstalker would leap high in the air and come down spitting waiting for a fight. But tonight she had had so many frights that another breaking records for cat flying wasn't high on her to do list right now. Nightstalker turned smoothly and raked her gaze thoughtfully over the new comer. Oh no, you weren't interrupting anything Nightstalker said smoothly with a smile. The smile looked more like a snarl. Strangely enough when Nightstalker was challenged she looked the most sane. But it was the complete opposite inside. As insane as a turkey at thanks giving. I was just telling Puma hunt here that you Shadow clanners seem to be late for everything. I'm not surprised really, She mrowled with a purr After all I've heard about tonight, well...... lets say I'm amazed you came at all. Nightstalker really was insane. Completely insane. Whenever she was challenged she seemed to think it fine to patronize the other cat.

Post by hawktail on Nov 28, 2009 17:20:53 GMT
Hawktail flicked her tail at her daughter as the ShadowClan cats made their way down to the rest of the Clan cats. Mingle? Heck no, Hawktail thought bitterly. She was not about to risk getting near another cat from a different Clan. She felt her claws scrape the ground lightly as her muscles tightened. Throwing glares of hostility in every direction, the dark tabby she-cat slithered around the cats and settled herself down in a dark spot where the moonlight couldn't reach. This was as far she would go with mingling. If a cat came up to her, she would speak to them, but very little. Hawktail was not a 'mingle' kind of cat. She isolated herself through her mind and body. Curling her tail around her paws, the tabby's pale eyes sparked and glittered as she looked around the clearing. There were many cats, indeed, some looking just as tense as herself. Most were relaxed, though. Hawktail lifted her lips slightly at the sight of the Clans blending and purring like they were all one huge Clan. Shaking her head, she looked up at the Highrock. The leaders were all here; the gathering could start.
Wolfpelt glanced up at the arriving cats. "So," she meowed gruffly, "they finally decide to come down?" Her amber gaze flicked across the cats and found Duskstar. His muzzle said one word, but the gray she-cat didn't catch it. It was an order, that was for sure. So rude... she thought as the ShadowClan leader shoved unsuspecting cats out of his way. It was terribly rude, but Wolfpelt didn't say it out loud. She forced her gaze to focus on the Highrock while she waited for the gathering to begin.
